Introducing Embrace2!

Today, we’re proud to announce the introduction of Embrace2!

Months of hard work and sincere passion helped develop this latest iteration which comes with an optimized battery life to keep you supported longer, a more intuitive watch face, improved connection management, and clearance by the FDA as a medical device.

The same groundbreaking technology

As some of you may know, we received FDA clearance for Embrace as a medical wearable earlier this year. It was a major milestone for us that validated years of work and research. All of that work is continuing in Embrace2, which is now available to order.

For U.S. customers only, a prescription from a healthcare provider is required in order for the device to be shipped. However, you can still order your Embrace2 while you arrange for your prescription to be prepared. The prescription is important because you should discuss with your doctor why Embrace is right for you and your seizure types.

Embrace is the most advanced device of its kind to monitor movement and physiological signals, and call for help when it detects patterns that may be associated to a convulsive seizure. It will also still be able to track your rest and physical activity and provide valuable insights to share with your doctor.

New optimized battery life

48+ hour battery life

Providing people with epilepsy a greater sense of freedom in their day-to-day lives is something we constantly strive towards. So our hardware engineers devoted themselves to optimize the circuit of the Embrace2, which now provides 48+ hours of endurance. We hope the extended battery life gives you greater freedom knowing that Embrace will go the distance for you.

Fast charging

Embrace2 comes with fast charging, requiring only about 30 minutes for a full day’s charge. We know that while Embrace is charging you have to arrange to have someone nearby to make sure you’re covered in case of a seizure. This can be limiting and difficult to coordinate. Our optimized circuit ensures the battery fills up faster, so you can feel more in charge, while charging less.

New stylish design

New bands

No watch is complete without a stylish band. The Embrace is not just a revolutionary piece of technology, but it also looks great for good reason. Its sleek and elegant design, and selection of bands, was all carried out in Milan, Italy; one of the world’s fashion capitals.

We wanted to offer something elegant and refined for adults that would be suitable for every occasion, but also elevate your outfit and total look. Embrace2 comes packaged with the original stretchable band, but you now also have the option to choose the brand new vegan leather band that is soft against the skin, but won’t slip. The vegan leather band can also be purchased separately in blue, black, grey, and red. And it’s compatible with the original Embrace.

More intuitive watch face

Embrace2 comes with an enhanced appearance featuring 3 dots on the watch face at the 6, 9, and 12 o’clock positions in addition to the heart at 3 o’clock, so that you can quickly and easily read the time. We all know we have no time to waste when we’re trying to figure out what time it is. Also, when a stranger asks for the time, you’ll have an excuse to show off your fancy new wearable.

Embrace2 is now available to order with shipping starting from the end of November.

We’re really proud to finally bring this new version to fruition, and hope it lightens the effort you put into caring for your health. We feel especially lucky for the many folks that have supported us and sent in such generous feedback. Your notes are always inspiring and insightful, and we’ll keep going back to them for an ever-improving experience.

Indications for use (USA): The Embrace is a prescription only device that is indicated for use as an adjunct to seizure monitoring of adults in home or healthcare facilities during periods of rest. The device is worn on the wrist, and senses Electrodermal Activity (EDA) and motion data to detect patterns that may be associated with generalized tonic clonic seizures in patients with epilepsy or at risk of having epilepsy. When a seizure event is detected, Embrace sends a command to a paired wireless device that is programmed to initiate an alert to a designated caregiver. The System records and stores data from Accelerometers, EDA, and Temperature for subsequent review by a trained healthcare professional.
