As you may know, the European Union has set a new standard with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) ”giving individuals better control over their personal data and how it’s used”.
Given our focus on high quality, we were already meeting the rules set out by the EU on many levels, but have taken these last few weeks to ensure that we fulfill all of its obligations.
Here are some of the measures we’ve taken:
- We’ve updated our Privacy Policy so you can easily understand exactly why we ask for information and how it will be used.
- Given you more clarity and control over your data. In your Empatica account, you’ll see clear and simple explanations for how your data is used. You can also request that we delete all of your personal data or have it sent to you. E4 researchers can review how we manage and store data .
